Youth Infusion inspires young people by giving them opportunities, purpose, and a sense of belonging through peer-to-peer connection and mentorship.
The implementation of the YLAB Program provides opportunities for service-learning and leadership, and collaboration with teachers, principals, and school administrators, with the overall goal of continuing to reach students throughout their high school career and inspiring underclassmen. Service-learning and leadership skills will be fostered through investigation, preparation, planning, reflection, and celebration.
Schools and communities will benefit from the YLAB Program by increasing its number of youth leaders who are serving as agents of change, and who are addressing social issues that young people are facing, including topics such as youth suicide prevention, dropout rates, bullying, mental health, rape culture, drug epidemic, physical activity, homelessness, and child abuse. Strong, positive relationships with adults are key to the success of young people and the YLAB Program.
