Our 2025 NEPA Youth-Led Conference at Kalahari Resorts was a huge success!

We’re still feeling the energy from our incredible, first-ever NEPA Youth-Led Leadership Conference, held May 6–8, 2025, at Kalahari Resorts in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. Over three powerful days, young leaders from across Northeastern Pennsylvania came together to share their voices, showcase their service-learning projects, and build the skills needed to lead change in their communities.

This dynamic event brought together high school students ages 15–18 to present projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through interactive workshops, youth-led panels, inspiring keynote speakers, and our signature Celebration and Awards Dinner, students left feeling empowered and connected.

Key features of the event included:

• Project Showcases: Students presented their innovative service-learning projects, sharing their journey from ideation to execution. 
• Skill-Building Workshops: Hands-on sessions focused on leadership, financial literacy, career development, and mental health awareness. 
• Networking Opportunities: Students connected with peers, mentors, and professionals from various industries. 
• Youth Voice Celebrations: Showcased the power of youth leadership through inspiring presentations and performances. 
• Celebration and Awards Dinner: On May 7, students in the Youth Leadership Advisory Board (YLAB) Program were honored during a special evening celebration attended by parents, educators, mentors, and community leaders. Three exceptional students who completed their service-learning projects and met all F.A.C.E.S. Curriculum benchmarks were awarded honorariums in recognition of their outstanding leadership and dedication.
   

This conference equipped participants with essential 21st-century skills and empowered them to become catalysts for positive change in their schools and communities.
