Youth Infusion

Shoe collection fundraiser for youth infusion

Where do the shoes go?

The shoes collected  become an economic lifeline for microenterprises in developing nations. From Haiti to Cambodia, Ghana to Guatemala, the impact of collecting shoes impacts and reaches micro-entrepreneurs, sparking economic growth in developing nations.

They sell the shoes you gather in their communities, which promotes commerce opportunities and leads to economic sustainability!

Due to systemic poverty and lack of job opportunities, there are so many families that simply cannot make a sustainable wage.

In a nation such as Haiti, the following are some facts:

  • 72% of the population lives on less than $2 a day.
  • 80% of the population lives under the poverty line, and 54% live in abject poverty
  • The average per capita income in Haiti is $480 per year.

Preserving the Planet & Creating Eco-Friendly Footprints

Did you know that over 300 million pairs of shoes end up in landfills each year? Your support in collecting shoes and donating them to Youth Infusion disrupts this cycle, redirecting footwear from waste to purpose. All collected shoes find new life, benefiting both people and the planet.

We are making eco-conscious choices to reduce and reuse. Every pair of shoes collected is a step away from environmental harm.

We work with Funds2orgs by reaching out to our community and asking specific businesses and locations to collect shoes by placing our blue barrels at these locations to help up gather shoes throughout the year.

If you are interested in having a blue barrel placed at your location, contact us at youthinfusion2020@gmail.com - we will drop off one of our blue barrels.
